I spent the first 20+ years of my life drawing and painting. After a while I really became focused on composition and to this day it is one of the most compelling aspects of art or design. I see it in everything, everywhere. And in my own creative evolution from art to design, now I am equally as curious and intrigued by type although I am more interested in type as a collection of interesting forms and shapes rather than symbols used to communicate ideas. This does not mean I can't take advantage of these symbols to create visually compelling compositions that may hide meaning only to be found by those who can find it.
This is just an exploration of a physical process of making marks, patterns, and compositions using type.
