The Notch Cyclery is a small, full service bike shop located in Campton, NH at the base of the White Mountain National Forest where some of the country's most beautiful and challenging MTB, gravel, adventure, and road cycling locations exist. This project involved the development of a primary identity with a wide range of secondary identity styles within the identity system supporting a host of various personalities to connect with multiple target markets within the cycling industry and cyclists.
The retail environment features a combination of "off-the-shelf" product displays, and fully custom casework, and merchandising systems to create a on-of-a-kind, visually surprising bike shop.
The materials and finishes reflect the combination of precision technology and aesthetics seen in cycling and the cycling industry surrounded by more natural materials. This strategy was key in order for a new business to garner the trust and confidence that is typically earned over the course of many years. As the saying goes, "you only get one chance to make a first impression".
